Puppy Training Foundations
Motivate your pup
As soon as you bring your puppy home, step into his brain frame. Canines are pack pets and like to follow a leader. If you become one, your puppy?s biggest motivation will become causing you to happy.

Keep it Consistent
The only way your puppy will ever learn is when there is a definite and consistent connection between your puppy?s actions as well as your reaction.

If your pup does something right, incentive and compliment him enthusiastically. If he does something wrong, inform you you?re not happy or disregard him.

For instance, if you don?t want your pup on the furniture, say ?No? loudly and guide him off each time he climbs up. Then compliment him every time he gets on the floor.

If you fail to be consistent, your pup will be too.

Puppy treats
There are no free rides as it pertains to treats. Make your puppy earn each one of them.

It?s better to avoid offering puppy food as praise every time. Start gradually replacing the treat with praise. Once your puppy has learned a command, supply the treat every other time, then every third time, always praising enthusiastically. Pretty soon, your puppy is wonderful for praise and the very occasional treat.

Correcting mistakes
Dogs aren't spiteful. If your puppy is doing something wrong, it probably got the idea it was alright. You must teach your puppy otherwise.

First, catch him in the act. Dogs can?t connect a punishment to an action hours or even minutes ago. Never strike your pup. Instead, when you see your puppy doing something wrong, say, ?No? in a sharp tone. When your puppy stops, praise him and present him something else to do like ?Sit? or ?Come?. Praise him abundantly for responding.

Remember, pup training doesn't have to be harsh. With a wide variety of training methods available, choose one which best puppy pictures suits you and your puppy dog. If it doesn?t work, just try another o
